Lil Nas X has announced a new song titled “J Christ.” The track, which arrives Friday, January 12, is “is dedicated to the man who had the greatest comeback of all time,” as Lil Nas X wrote in capital letters on social media. “J Christ” will be Lil Nas X’s first single since 2022, when he released “Late to da Party” (featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again) and “Star Walkin’ (League of Legends Worlds Anthem).” Check out the single art for “J Christ,” featuring the rapper dressed as Jesus Christ on a crucifix, below.
Last year, Lil Nas X’s documentary Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero debuted at the Toronto Film Festival. It was announced last week that the movie—which follows the global tour behind the artist’s 2021 debut album, Montero—will air on HBO on Saturday, January 27, at 8 p.m. Eastern; it will also stream on Max.
